I'm going to start taping soon and I wondered if anyone could give me some advice on which mic and battery box to get?
I'd like to spend £100 max really, and most of that on the mic... i.e. getting a cheap battery box. Which one is best value for money?
Any help would be much appriciated.

looking at any particular company?
The Dynaic Audio Omnis are not bad. You can choose between fixed and switchable bass roll-off

I've been recommended Sony ECM-719s, and recordings I've heard using those sound good.

Would you be stealthing or openly recording?

Thanks, they look good.
Is there a device which can record the audio to a PCM WAV? I'd prefer that rather than a minidisk I think.
