Hi there,
I seek a portable option for playing an accordian on a portable PA.
Two little lavalier mics attached to the accordian , one on each side into a little mixer with echo processer, to a single speaker.
All on battery and portable to lug around with the accordian.
I'm checking with Oade first and then Sweetwater. Anyone here got any ideas?
I've got an Oade mod UA5 if it helps get started to build a unit.
Thanks,
Adam Z

Better check your state and local laws first :smash:

I've heard good sound from solo/duo acts using those Bose portable line array systems (L1 pro 8, i believe)

Might be worthwhile checking what other accordion players are using. I saw Mario Batkovic perform at a local venue and what he was getting out of his instrument was nothing short of stunning.

Thanks a lot. Doug gave me some good places to poke around. B&H has the goods to really blow out a Tarantella.
All set,

Liking the idea of mounting lavaliere omnis on each side of the accordian into a little mixer with echo processor.
One speaker is the right call for portable practicality, but would really love to hear this through two in stereo.
Extra credit if you ever get the chance to play it through twin Leslie's!
"..to really blow out a Tarantella"
Get 'em dancing furiously in hysterics and expel that spider venom!

You might consider recording your performance with a portable video camera like a Mevo Start. You can inject the audio into the camera using a cable direct from your mixer. Battery powered for up to 6 hours. Mind you the encoded audio is lossy compressed. For live music I was recording to a Tascam DA3000 but have switched to a battery powered MixPre series.
