This is the second marantz pmd661 i have owned and again am i the only one or is the battery cover is EXTREMELY hard to remove every time......i mean there must be a trick i don't know about?
-
It's awful. I thankfully only have the batteries as backup power, so have never had to change at a show.
-
Insane! I can not open it anymore. Luckily I do not use it for field use these days. THE toughest battery cover to remove bar none
-
UGGH and i thought i didn't know the secret easy trick
-
The DR-2d cover can be pretty tough to open as well.
-
I have never had this problem and I've owned about 5 of them: MKi, MKii & MKiii.
I have found that different rechargeable AA cells have different diameters and some are just to big around for the chamber but I've never had a door get stuck.
Weird!

I guess I am lucky that my DR-2D's hard to open-battery cover broke almost immediately. It now works nicely with just a bit of tape! :banging head:

It must be. I use rechargeables.
