Title: DAT Droupouts..... Help....
Post by: Dirtybiz on September 18, 2024, 06:15:34 PM
Ok, so I'm transferring old DAT's with this setup:

DAT>Tascam DA-20 MK II>SoundDevice702T>Laptop>Sound Forge 17pro(Volume,Balance,EQ,Fades)>CD Wave>FlacLvl8>TLH>Foobar2000 16/44.1 Fileset

I'm listening to the DATS from start to finish and there are ZERO dropouts but when I got to mix the show in SF17 I see these random dropouts... Some 3sec, some upto 10sec... No rhyme or reason.

I've changed Digi cords, connectors and no luck.... Could it be the 702T with an issue?

if they playback clean from the same deck then yea 702.  I'd start with a different compact flash card.  I think Marty still has an r44, try that as well.

Thanks Gordon!  I've got another FC on the way...
I hope thats the issue and not the 702T.
