Title: Tagging conventions
Post by: nulldogmas on November 21, 2024, 04:55:26 PM
Has anyone ever attempted to create a consensus document on tagging best practices? I know it's hard enough to get people to tag their files at all, but then for those that do, the naming conventions tend to be all over the place.

I personally have a strong preference for "year-month-day Venue, City" in the Album field, since that way all my shows for that artist line up chronologically in my audio player. (Clementine, if anyone cares.) But if there are reasons to do otherwise, I'm interested to hear them.

yyyy-mm-dd - Venue - City

That's the way I have my foobar2000 script setup.
