Title: JB3 - battery inquiry
Post by: rockinws on June 15, 2004, 02:32:37 PM
I just picked up a third battery for the JB3. If/when long battery life is in use and meters drop to one bar, it is best to remove the 2 batteries in the unit and replace it with the single, fully charged battery? or can/should I move battery #2 to #1 slot and insert the fully charged battery in the #2 slot? anyone know the pattern of battery drain or is it simultaneous?

thanks in advance,

dan sisler

I don't know for sure, but my educated guess is that you should remove both drained batteries and put in the single fresh battery by itself.

the first slot is hot swappable. i would switch out the 1st battery for the 3rd and let it go.

I've heard that if you have one battery full and one completely drained, the full battery will attempt to charge the drained battery, greatly affecting battery life.

I'd swap out the first for the third, and once the third is in take out the second, just to be sure...
