i think it's an ugly box. i got 2. plastic w/9v +- connectors, 1/8" trs i/o. looks like hard putty where trs connectors are. can i spray some blue shower or contact cleaner in the i/o holes to stop the cable movement at i/o noise? thanks in advance

I would try to spray the male plug and then insert it and rotate it before I tried just spraying it in the innards. opening it up and getting more tension on the two connectors is the other option if cleaning doesn't work. Bob

If it is an UGLY its filled with potting material (epoxy), which is the hard putty looking stuff, and cannot be opened.
Yes clean the jacks with contact cleaner or denatured alcohol. Use Bob's suggestion and apply it to a miniplug, then use that to clean the contacts by working it in/out and spinning it around. If that's not enough I've sprayed a quick spritz of Caig Deoxit directly into the jacks of my UGLYs using the little red tube without problems when the contact intermittency problems from accumulated dirt and grunge were particularly bad.

Is Church Audio still a thing? I’ve just been on the website, which is still up and running, but with everything “out of stock”.

In the past, Church Audio has been a made to order kind of deal. Or they will announce they have a drop coming and get people to make a deposit as a pre-order. From what I have heard, Chris's bread and butter is guitar amp repair, so when he needs a little Christmas money he drops some CA14's and a few battery boxes.

Yeah, he usually announces that he has some available on Facebook. I got an extra pair of CA-11 cards in 2023, and he took about 3 months to ship them after saying it'd take a week. I was in no hurry, and I did receive what I paid for, but only buy if you don't mind waiting.
