Last week I received my FR-AV2 and today I expect to take it out for a test run to record some sounds on a nearby lake. However, I have a trivial question for those who own this device. The time code display has semicolons separating the numbers and in all the photos I've seen the numbers are separated by colons. Is there a setting to change the separators?
Thanks.

OK, I acknowledge that my question is uninteresting to most folks actually recording and not just preparing to record like me but I remain curious about the separators. Please take a moment to look at your screen and let me know if it looks like mine or if it is different. I wonder if I received a "grey market" product or one not intended for sale in the US.
Thanks.

Are you receiving the timecode? If that is the case it sounds like the other device is sending drop frame timecode which uses semicolons.

Thank you, you solved my problem. The recorder is being used as a stand alone device but the default time code was set to 29.97DF. The manual confirms that is the standard default. I changed that and now I see colons instead of semicolons. While this will not affect my ability to use the recorder, it looks as I expect it to look.
I do appreciate your help.

Pretty sure the semicolon thing would have made my OCD twitch a little.
