Hello there! Are there good programs to record live streams instead of screen recording them like say from Nugs.com? The highest quality video and audio wise would be great. any suggestions? Thanks,Scott

OBS - Open Broadcaster Software (free)
https://obsproject.com/
Not sure if OBS is still the go to for what you want to do, but it was a few years back when I used it a few times to do the same. I got it to work then, but don't know enough about it to support usage questions.

downie is mac only, but works well
$20

For Nugs specifically theres this: https://github.com/Sorrow446/Nugs-Downloader/tree/main
You're gonna have to be comfortable using command line and custom scripts but it'll download the full files from Nugs rather than screen recording.

yt-dlp, streamlink, ffmpeg
These are commonly used for ripping streams. Screen recording is only the last resort when a stream is DRM protected.
