i have recently joined the taping ranks, and i am trying to find some good editing share ware.
any suggestions?
You might try
Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
or
N Track http://www.fasoft.com/
Joe
N Track is not free. I think they have a trial version avail. If you look in the right places you can find anything you want ;)
He didn't ask for free software. ;)

thanks for the suggestions. i am really just looking for something to split the recordings into tracks.
i will give these a shot.
If thats all you're looking for, then why not use CDWave?
What mirth said - if all you need to do is split into tracks, it doesn't get easier than CD-Wave (http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~mjmlooijmans/cdwave/). For more editing features - fades, gain changes, EQ, compression, etc. - you'll need something like Audacity (free) or pony up some cash (or break the law) for Adobe Audition, Soundforge, Wavelab, etc.

FWIW you can do quite a bit of work with the unregistered version of NTrack. Cd Wave is the way to go if you just need to track.
Joe
Here are some that you can use. You could go with Sound Forge, Logic Pro, or Pro Tools But they are all not chep. I don't know what you wat to spend on softwear. But the only
one that I have used is Pro Tools that is becouse they have were i go to school. I hope that I was a help.
