Title: Nutter rig in 2000
Post by: Nedhead on October 26, 2025, 02:21:04 PM
Found a couple Panic shows from 2000, and the card only has "B&K4011 Mark Nutter" on it. This would be a new source to circulation. Just looking for more lineage info.

Thanks.

I recognize the word Digihoarders.
Pretty sure you posted a lot of tapes from Matt Lazor's collection that I recorded.

Just speculation, but I have always regaurded these Gorge Phish shows as possibly the best sounding audience tapes I have ever heard, did not take long to find them. I would guess that the rig was same/similar. Especially if they sound ridiculous.

4011>V2>AD2K>DAP-1

I tried to copy this text, but am failing to to do so. Here is the link

I ran with Nutter a bit in the early 2000's. One thing about almost all shows he recorded is often he/they would change gear mid show. Set 1 may be different from set 2. after asking to patch a few times from him as a second rig, I would just not ask. I dig and am all for what he/they were doing, however, I needed "consistency" in my, compared to his B&K etc, crappy AKG recordings. Good to see some of their stuff get out there. WP Red Rocks 2000 would be a find

I think he also ran 4011 > AD1000 > P1 for a little while, but I'm not positive

you should ask nutter directly, no?  he still rolls for shows, Brian Lee (https://taperssection.com/index.php?action=profile;u=7185) has mentioned they tape together.
I'm sure he could enlighten you.

I ran into Nutter right before Covid at Moe in LA. I was running 4011 > Apogee Mini MP > Sonic AD2K > Bitbucket. It was break out your old school gear Wednesday kind of evening. Super fun show. He was thrilled to see that I still had this setup and was still getting after it. We have become close friends over the years and he is one of my hero’s for sure. When I was just dreaming of buying gear I’d call his wife Mojan at Sonicsense and we would talk for hours. In 2001 I went to Denver Fillmore to catch KDTU and MMW and he was there. I was so geeked to meet him and hang. I asked for a patch and he showed me his 20’ long digital patch cable that ran all the way at the back of the TS. LOL!! Where there were 10 other guys setting up shop. He is SUPPOSED to be grabbing me a monster pile of DAT’s to transfer. He’s very busy with a new career and is doing well for himself. A recent bike wreck sidelined him for a bit but he is good. I send him all the Panic edits I do. He is certainly the Taper Wizard you want in your corner when LA throws you a curveball. We met to see a local show in Jan of 2023 and he brought me a green Sonicsense bag with a V2, pair of MBHO 603 KA/200, and a fuckload of cables and do-dads. Here ya go.  :o
