I have a problem inserting images, sorry!
I wish I have the other mic!
This seller is in Hamburg, Germany and has other types of clamps.

I have a Beyer m130 and m160 m/s set. Dang, they sound good and I have many other m/s sets.
I have a shapeways clip that is similar to that one where the one microphone is at a 90 degree
angle to the other microphone. There is no earthly reason why they should be perpendicular to each
other rather than parallel. It takes up way more space and is harder to hang. I wish I could find a
parallel mount for the Beyer m/s set.

The ribbons are most in the same plane with this arrangement

Why?
-
Because they are strips of aluminum. They are at right angles if parallel. The mics have orientation/alignment dots on them.

Ribbon microphones aren't "rotationally symmetrical" because ribbons themselves aren't. There's only one physical orientation in which any ribbon microphone will have the specified pickup pattern--and even that will be in the lateral plane only.
For the Beyer M 160, the manual says to set them up so that the two red dots on the circumference of their "business end" are above one another, i.e. "pointing" up and down. Oddly I don't see any comparable note in the M 130's instruction manual.
By the way, the same thing is true with many shotgun microphones; typically you have to keep the manufacturer's logo facing directly upwards, or the pickup pattern won't be what you paid for. That's not true for all brands and types (e.g. Schoeps), but it is true for many/most.
