Title: I phone 17 recording

Hi Folks
Im going to a gig soon and wondered how to record on a iphone
Ive just got a iphone 17 pro and wondered what i need  for my phone etc and then how to set it up
If anyone can point me in the right direction, i would really appreciate it

Shure MV88 USB-C or RØDE AI-micro if you want to use your own mics.

I get good results with my iphone 17, dpa 4015gs and d:vice.

I get amazing results with my iphone 17, sonosax sx-m2d2, and any microphones (but not quite so  >:D)

Is there a particular recording app thats good to use please?

MetaRecorder (Paid), RØDE reporter (super simple/free). The MV88 can be used with the Motiv Audio app.
