Title: Will 2.5 volts PIP plus a 9 volt battery box harm my CA14C microphones?
Post by: unidentified on February 10, 2026, 12:25:29 PM
I'd like to run my Church CA14C microphones with my 9 volt Church battery box into my Zoom H1 Essential, but the recorder's 2.5 PIP cannot be turned off..  Will doing so harm my mics (or the battery box or even the recorder)?  Many thanks!

The 2.5V PIP from the recorder won't be present at the input (mic) side of the battery box. There are blocking capacitors at the output of the battery box between it and the recorder.
