Title: anyone tape on a centrino yet?

anyone use a lappy with this chip in it?  can you disable the built in wifi?  any other issues?

don't see why you would have an issue with this chip set. I will be trying it soon on mine.

Well centrino itself isn't really a chip...it's more like a platform.  A centrino system consists of a Pentium M processor and built in 802.11g wireless.

And I don't see any reason why you'd run into any problems using a centrino notebook, other than the problem of running Windows in the first place. ;D

centrino also like the crusaoe is designed to save battery live also...
