Title: With the exception of 480>m148...
Post by: Nick Graham on June 20, 2004, 01:48:38 AM
is there really a mic>pre combo more made for each other than KM140>V2/V3?

Ran my first tape with the Neumanns last night (ak40 (ortf)>lc3>km100>v2>sbm1)...exactly the sound I've been looking for. Smooth highs, fat low end, all this in probably the worst sounding room in town. Taping MMJ tonight, and can't wait to hear the results in a good sounding venue.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the Neumann's, Nick.  I ran both 140s > V2 > modSBM-1 and 140s > V3 and loved the results of each combo.  I now run CMC6x > V3 and miss the Neumann's sometimes.  Have fun!
