Title: newb to transfering / ISO transfer cables for MD's
Post by: snapple ryes on June 23, 2004, 11:35:24 PM
pardon my ignorance on the subject. but my MD masters are just piling up on me here, and the few people i know who can transfer them havent been responding. so im looking to see if anyone can possibly lend me whatever cables id need to get these onto CDR.
i have cdwav to split the tracks, and i'm not sure what other programs i would need to get this done.

what MD units do you have available?  Do you plan on doing an analog or digital transfer?

well, if an analog transfer is lossy, then id want to do a digital.

and i would be transferring from a sharp MS722 deck.

the sharp MS722 cant do digi transfers.  without having to buy another deck your best bet is to just go with a 1/8'' mini > mini cable from the headphone jack on the MD to your line in on the soundcard.  press play on the MD and hit record on cd wav and let it go.

why don't you list hte bands you've taped, maybe someone here would have interest in doing digi transfers for you if they liked the bands you taped.  i know i would.
