Post by: nickgregory on July 20, 2004, 11:20:30 AM
anyone run one of these with full bodied mics?  this looks like it could be what I am looking for paired with a scheops shock to get a bit lower profile...

full bodies would be way to heavy i to be supported by a standard a20 shockmount.  maybe u could get by with the a20S (heavier elestics)  The vark bar itself it great. i have 2 actually :) its very lightweight and versatile. the only drawback is, because its made out of fiberglass/plastic,  the threading on the holes can get easily misaligned if you re-position the bolts alot, and you will find it impossible to unscrew those bolts by hand. i carry an allen wrench now with me, in case i want to move the bolts and they get stuck.  id call jerry bruck @ posthorn, unless u already have since this is a week old thread, and ask him if he can test if the A20S will hold a vark bar plus full-bodied mics. i think it should.  (if u catch him on a good day the old feller can be quite talkative hehe)
