Title: Jb3 - creative playcenter reading problems
Post by: jctibbitts on July 22, 2004, 04:23:54 PM
okay...not a total newbie...done over 100 show transfer with my jb3, but this is the first time i have ever connected my jb3 (via usb 2) to my computer and had a problem.

playcenter opened up as usual, but it said my jb3 wasn't connected.  it is.  i tried another usb cord and same problem.  i restarted my jb3 and computer, same problem.

ne1 had this happen?

do a fresh install of your creative disc, that should solve the problem :)

I had a similar problem.  I tried re-install, restart, everything, no dice.  It would work, not work, work etc.  I finaly said screw it and went to Firewire transfers and it's worked beautifully since.  Then I switched to Notmad Explorer...

i am definitely a firewire newb...any good sites for cheap cables? radioshack got them?

T backatcha,

FWIW< mine was screwy like that even on the firewire transfers, then i forgot what i did, but it hasnt failed me since ;)

good luck bro, you'll get the bugs worked out :)

and you cant go wrong w/ firewire, plus, im not all about spending 25 dollars on notmad unless its needed, so if this does fail even w/ the firewire, id say go notmad, but otherwise, no really need to :)
