anyone think that there will be an interface for the ipod so that one can record digital, or is this just wishful thinking?

Wishful thinking.

07.25.04 - moe - Pier Six, Baltimore, MD - I noticed the sound guy had an IPod hooked up to the soundboard via cable. It could have been used for playing music during set changes. Or not. The article mentioned that there are APPLICATIONS that are secret, and the ability to record would definitely be something there.

Well the iPod already has recording capabilities through the Belkin voice recorder. However it only records in aac (or mp3, i can't remember which offhand), and you need that adapter.
My bet was that it was used for music in between sets. I know of a couple bands that use it for the same application.

Yup, Blues Traveler's FOH engineer uses it for house music.
