Title: ODL-276 Question
Post by: Sloan Simpson on July 30, 2004, 02:42:54 PM
If I'm feeding a coax signal out of my ADC-20 to a Hosa ODL-276, and running the optical out of that to my JB3, can I patch a DAT patcher out of the ODL-276's coax out?  Are both the coax and the optical outs hot at the same time?  Would I be risking screwing up my signal to the JB3?

I read that I should get a coax barrel splitter to run between the ADC and the ODL-276, but I just realized I may have DAT patcher(s) tonight, and I won't have a chance to gear up before that. . .

I just tried to feed my D8 and JB3 from my Audiophile 2496 coax > ODL276 and only the optical out was on...I assume the inverse is true as well, if you go optical in only the coax out gets the signal. That was one good thing about the CO2 that you could pass a signal both ways. So it looks like a splitter is necessary.
