Title: just got my ua5 in the mail

I'm pretty excited.  Now I've got my UA5, and my SVU-2, and my iRiver H140, all I need is some mics.

Four to five months of saving dough and I'll be ready to purchase.

4-5 months...thats an eternity for us tapers when it comes to waiting to try stuff out.. :'(

that really sucks, but at least your part of the way

maybe sneak down to the loaner section and try and get some loaners for the time being ???

I have a good buddy in town with some gear he'll let me run for the time being.  So it's not as bad as I make it out to be.  And hey, you gotta start somewhere.

Well that's a good question.  I think I can spend about a grand, and I'm just starting my research so I don't know much.  Recommendations would be much appreciated.

I'll look at ADK-TL's, AKG's.  Shit, I'll *look* at anything, *listen* to anything, what I buy will definitely be on a budget.

if your looking for some TL samples i would be more than willing to mail you some freebies or upload some shows

i LOVE my TL's. and ive ran quite a few different mics

for ~750$ you can get a matched set of TL's and shocks/screens in a flight case... i can reccomend a great small retailer who will take care of you also on anything ADK made
