Thought I'd finally show everyone my M1 powering idea which works on JB3's too.
Its a rechargable battery you can get at all " Battery Plus " stores or from their website.
http://www.pwrplant.com/cd.html
I used my last one for nearly 2 years before it wont hold a charge and it less than $20.
They are designed for portable CD players ( 4.5 volt ) and work excellent for M1's. I loaned it to a friend to stealth with a JB3 and he had no problems. They charge from the ac adapter of the M1.
Check it out...

Will this work for the JB3? I am curious... What kind of run time did your friend get with his JB3? Any adaptors required?

Does anybody know if this unit will also work with the 20gig IRiver portable hard drive? Just curious. I have a Sony PCM-M1 DAT and will be ordering this unit for use on my DAT but it would be a double bonus if it also worked on my IRiver. Anybody?? Thanks a lot. If you want to email me directly with a reply you can do so at brianalandunn at yahoo dot com. Thanks again.
Cheers,
Brian

No clue on my end. I gave up on it for the JB3 cause no one seemed to show any interest and I didn't have a clue. Sorry.

We just got a Battery Plus. I'm going to check it out & pick up one of these. I'll post how it works on the JB3.
T+ for the link

i bet if it did work, it would last about 10 hrs+ for sure, because a 7.2 amp lasted about 40+ hrs :)

So, how did this end up working out for you?

I think it was said in the Remote Power section that these unforunately didn't work for powering the JB3, like we hoped..
Correct guys?

Any idea how long a D100/M1 will last on this battery? Wondering if it would be good for a festival
-
I looked into purchasing one of these a few months ago (for my m1 in festival settings).
Seems like I read it would power the m1 for approx. 10 hours (as stated above).
When I went to order one from the site listed in this thread, I backed out, because the shipping alone cost about half as much as the battery from what I recall. If you could find one local it would be a good deal. I opted for 4 rechargeable ratshack double A's, which will give me 10 hours use as well, and not add bulk to my gear bag. The AA rechargeables have gotten better & better.
