ok i flip hard drives a few weeksw back and the hard drive was built for anouther compurter and now i have no sound and only 16 bit color. if i put in a newer windows would that fix this ??? i have 98 and someone told me they would give me ME ???

avoid winme like the plague. Sounds like you need drivers for your hardware, brah.

do you have 2 hard drives, both with windows installed, on the same system? i'm not exactly clear on what the problem you are having is.

no i have one hd in from anouther compurter :P sorry about my spelling :P

you need to download the drivers for your video card and sound card it seems. you took the hard drive out of another pc and put it in yours, it may not correctly recognize the new hardware.
definitely do not bother with win me. it will end up causing more problems. it's like the bastard crackbaby child of 98 and 2000.

If your machine is fast enough you need to upgrade to win 2000/xp. If not you should reinstall win98 and update drivers.
