Title: Subcards 60cm @70deg?
Post by: SonicSound on August 22, 2004, 08:05:53 PM
Anyone tried subcards 60cm @70deg or other setup other than NOS or ORTF?

I ran DIN on-stage recently in a situation where the band is laid out in a long line against a wall.  Turned out okay.  There's just no way to minimize the hugely exaggerated stereo image other than moving back, which picks up the chatty-as-hell crowd.  I've thought about running split sub-cards, but haven't tried it yet.

I've split the 170's in sub around the board at The State Theatre.
Since it's rarely a stereo mix there anyway it just adds ambience...

What about onstage or stage lip?
