Title: help with waveform "issue"
Post by: dr.ph0b on August 23, 2004, 01:11:50 AM
i just noticed an issue with the left channel in this waveform.  im not sure if this is a DC offset or not, cause it looks like the top of the left channel waveform is being lopped off or somehting.  i was using an AD2k  AD.  and this was about 4hrs into the battery usage when i notice it in the wav forms. (but the low battery light wasnt on) anyone ever see someething like this, or know what the heck could cause it?

It kind alooks like a DC offset. It's too hard to say just seeing that portion. If it is consistant throughout you can try running a DC offset on just the left channel and see if it is noticably better. I think it's possable to have the "rarefaction" of a waveform differ from the "compression" which would look like that.

All DC offsets I have come across personally were from analog sourced material that had been transfered at some point.

as bean asked, do you hear a problem?
