Title: Tannoy Surround Setup?

I have been emailing Jim Oade regarding getting myself a new home setup centered around the 3000es (thanks for the review Nick).  The speaker setup he is recommending for me consists of the following:

mx4m 
mx1m
mxc-m
ps100cs-a

Has anyone heard these speakers and have the ability to comment on them?  I have listened to a lot of different tannoy setups (most nearfield studio monitors) and have always been impressed with the clarity, but have never heard this particular setup.  Also, if anyone knows about pricing of these puppies, pm me and i'll tell you what i was quoted and we can see if I'm getting a good deal (not that I think the oade's would screw me, but I always like to check).

i have an older pair of mercury m2's and think they are very nice.  haven't heard the newer stuff, but if the older stuff is any indication, go for it

everything showed up yesterday....3000es and all the speakers.  going to set things up tonight.  I just need some speaker cable now.  Good thing there's a speaker cable thread right above!

I'm going to try to snap some pics once I get things up and running

Heath--

I'd just go to home depot/radio shack and pick up a big spool of 14 guage speaker/"lamp" wire so you can get the whole shebang up and running.  While good speaker cable does/will make a difference (especially for your mains), running 14 guage wire will at least let you get everything playing now.

Agreed on zipcord. Tin the ends with solder if you can to prevent shorts
No huge sound differences between monster cables, starquads, silver, etc.
