I want to know what the best way to split tracks on a mac. What is the best application to use and were can I get it for cheap or free.

I downloaded Amadeus and got the code for the registration but
I don't know what I am doing ...Yet

I'm a big fan of Felt Tip Sound Studio (www.felttip.com). Just drop markers with Apple-M and when you're done, there's a "Split By Markers" command. Super easy. It doesn't cut on sector boundaries, so you'll need shntool to fix it after the fact (there's nothing for the Mac that will cut properly anyway), but it's a great program...

Sound Studio is great for simply tracking shows out.  I like Spark too.

im also using soundstudio 2.1 to track.....quick and easy
