Can anyone suggest some good ear training disks, or exercises? Outside of listening to what's been recorded? Someone was telling me there is some kind of disk out that plays different frequencies so that you ears get used to hearing them. It helps when running sound for example.
I guess I'm trying to get a benchmark so that I know what to call what I don't like hearing. Dig?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

as a music major we did a lot of aural training, over 2 years, and most of it was on a piano with a professor, and sometimes on the computer. but i'm not quite sure thats what your looking for. i will suggest looking into Earmaster. I used that a while back, and my brother in law teaches with it at a music school in LA. if its frequencies you want to experience and listen to, go into whatever audio editing program you use be it cool edit, wavelab ect. and they have frequency generators. that also might help, good luck.

there is an audio engineer named Dave Moulton who has some tutorial CD's.
http://www.moultonlabs.com/gold.htm
Not cheap but it looks to be very detailed information and instruction.
Good luck,
Ben

I use Golden Ears as well.
It's good stuff, My school had a copy you could check out, so I aquired one for free.....
Found a PDF of the manual too, it's a great set of discs.
