a pair of unmatched MG m20 caps is MORE expensive than a matched pair of mk4(both sets of caps being new) from a favorite retailer that is on here?!?!
of course, this may vary from retailer to retailer, but still!
-
they recently increased their prices by alot from what I understand....which is one of the reasons that Gotham Audio quit selling them
That being said, they should be more expensive than mk4s...they sound better :)
-
yeah, I personally prefer the m20 to the mk4, but the sticker shock makes me go something, something...
must find a set of m20's used now!
-
I guess $525-$550 a cap

higher!

wow, I got the m21s quoted back in march I guess...and they were $550 a piece
-
I know some folks bought stuff from this german retailer, but he still has m20 caps on the site for ~$405

$575. havent heard back from dalepro
of course, the price might drop somewhat after I tell them retailer x is cheaper than retailer y, etc...
you wouldnt want to sell your m20s would you? :)

uh no....actually in the market for a set of m21s and m27s :)

Don't feel bad...the absolute cheapest price I've found on Neumann AK50 (hyper) caps was $725 a piece.

Same here. I keep checking eBay & the like for a used set ...
-
because of mg's suck ass marketing, their amazing line of mics...re: check out the um75 never got popular, tho they even had unique design(um900,m900,umt800 and mk102 capsules)
they deserve to raise prices..unfortunately for us,but then again you don't want these good people turning all neumann.
