Title: JB3 Question
Post by: karl33 on September 26, 2004, 06:03:20 PM
I'm a newbie here. I am going to see Bruce Hornsby soon and would like to tape the show. I have read the guides and will start putting together a rig from the information I've seen. But 1 thing I haven't seen addressed, most people recommend the JB3 for taping, but I have an earlier Jukebox model. Could I use this model or would it be better to upgrade? I think the one I have is the earlist model made. I haven't used it too much lately and almost forgot I had it. If possible I would prefer to use it and spend more money on mics, and so on. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Karl33

The JB3 is the only model that allows recording in .wav format.  Do some searches for JB3 newbie or something like that.  It will give you the specifics.  I would suggest spending some time getting familiar with the taperssection site.  There is a ton of info for newbie's in the corresponding forums for mics, remote power, etc.  Welcome to the site & good luck.

I'm just gonna leach onto this thread instead of creating a new one...The unit has 2 outputs, but when I plug into output 2 I get no signal. Did I miss something???

in settings, put the speakers to 4-speakers instead of 2 :)

you have to go into settings and activate the 2nd line out, otherwise it is defaulted not to work

in version 1.40.06p under "settings" change the "speaker" option from 2-channel to 4-channel and the 2nd line out should work
