hey all,
for some reason every now and again(every couple days), firefox resets my homepage from google to its site. it also rechecks the settings that i uncheck. i turned off auto-updates and it still happens. anyone know what is wrong?
thanks,

never seen that, i'd try running adaware or spybot.
FWIW i have been running FF for ~6 months on linux and windows and never had id hijack my homepage. It does seem odd that it reverts back to the mozilla home page. I would try reinstalling, perhaps it is a rights issues on the install/settings folder.
pc/mac? os?

never had the issue in 4 months

Are you running the most recent version of Firefox?
I know that some older versions of Netscape will automatically redirect you to an upgrade page if you are using a version that is significantly older than the latest release.

i am running winxp pro sp1 and i installed FF about 3wks ago. i also run spy sweeper, spybot, and spywareblaster, so i know i dont have any spyware on this machine, i also run AV, so i am clean on that front taboot. i guess i could do a reinstall of the app. just wanted to see if anyone had any of those issues first.
