Title: Quick and Dirty on VXpocket and Wavelab
Post by: shaggy on October 01, 2004, 02:19:32 PM
I recorded my friend's band last night with my new VXpocekt 440 and screwed up by not designating the properties on the Wavelab record box as 24/48 (it was 16/44.1).  I listened to it and sure enough, it is slow.  So, can people just tell me real quick what I need to do?  I don't want to mess with it today as I am running around with these guys try to catch up on lost time.  I got another show to record tonite.

Thanks!  I got it.

The next question: when you listen thru the headphone jack, is it in 24bit?  If not, then which do I use for the XLR outs?  The ASIO driver or the VX pocket mixer #1 out?  The head phone jack doesn't work with ASIO in playback mode.

Use the ASIO drivers if you can.  You need to adjust to "digital playback gain" in the VX driver dialog.  You can bring it up thru Wavelab's driver settings.  If that is turned up you should get sound thru headphone out.  Sometimes it's effected by the Windows sound thingy in your taskbar as well, make sure thats up.
