if i have a mixpad can i run the c1000s with out batterys in the mic. i remeber reading somewhere that i can. ?

if the mixpad can provide phantom power, yes.  i believe the c1000s can take phantom.

right on i think it does. :P if so i dont need to worriy about the batterys in the mic.

However if you do use phantom then it will drain the mixpad's power source quicker, just something to remember.

the increase in sound quality will be worth it, if the mixpad can go a whole set. phantom makes c1k's sound a whole lot better.

exactly what i did with that mixpad, i am sure you'll like the results when i ship it out!

I used to use rechargable NiMH 9v's with my mixpad. I bought a little battery tester and ran a bunch of tests to figure out my max run time.  All mics consume require different amounts of power so it would probably be best to run your own tests.
