That's the link to Audio Upgrades that does the mod
The cost advertised is $150 per mic.

You can also go directly to http://www.audioupgrades.com for general info. I had my 460's mod'd about 18 months ago and have been loving them ever since. Like JW says "you'll be able to hear yourself smile from 3 feet away". ;)

Yeah, I ran the extension cables with ck1x (card) caps that night. No stands were allowed in the venue that night - thank goodness for the remote capsules, full bodies get heavy by the end of the show!
The mod actually costs $175 per mic now. That was the cost when I had it done, so it has been the cost for a while.
FYI - Jim is much easier to reach by telephone if you want to speak with him. He is a real email slacker.
-
what is the turnaround time on the mod?
-
It took 4 days for me, but i hand delivered and picked up. It was a holiday break, so he was not as busy as he may be now. Allow up to two weeks I would say.
-
right on. where abouts is he at?
-
hollywood, ca
-
he told me about a week max to get the mod done. some mod is $150 but it's $175 to do the mod and make them transformerless or something that you really want done..i forget exactly what it was.
-
right on. there would be no reason to not ge thte full blown mod imho
