Every time I've run my ADKs I've used a standard AKG t-bar, but have noticed it seems to bow in the middle under the weight of the TLs. Other than a Shure vert bar...what else have people used to run LD mics with? Would a Vark Bar work? I'd like something that's a solid, straight horizontal piece...
Any ideas?

I used a sbra som for the past 6 months with my TLs....
was able to clamp/mount them onto all sorts of places and angles and adjust well with no bow or flew of the T
cheap and worked well, but the 1 time I tore down and just put it in my bag w/ the shock mounts attached it snapped in 2

Shure vert bar (with Bcosington-style mod) for XY and Blumlein and MS.
All others - I have a cheapy stereo bar. I am going to buy a K&M stereo bar. Those things are solidly built, though they are a bit heavy.

I used the akg bar with my u89s with no problems...

i always wondered why sambra didnt make something like an all rubber shock, instead of that cheap plastic in some spots, use rubber, the damn things would be compact and indestructable :)
but then again, they may actually last and produstion would get cut short :P
