I got a new powerbook and transfered all my info from my old one. Now Sound Studio will record, but it wont playback. Is this some sort of license/registration problem? That's the only thing I can think of. If so, how do I get around it?
Thanks,
Kevin
It came with your computer, right? You should have a fully registered Sound Studio.
So playback works on every other app and not SS?
Well it didnt actually come with my computer, but it's fully registered (I paid for it). My name and company show up when I open it also. Spark will playback but not SS. Peak made re-register, but I did'nt feel like messing with it. That's how I came up with the license theory. Is there a way I can re-register it?
Thanks,
Kevin

Since it's paid for, send an email over to the guys at felt tip. They're very good about responding and should be able to help you a lot better than I can.
If you really want to reregister, all you have to do is delete your preference files. Then the next time you run it you'll have to put in your registration info.
I highly doubt the registration is the problem, though it might have something to do with your preferences.
double check and make sure the output is not set as the same device as your recording. But it sounds like a preference issue to me.
I emailed 'ol boy and I got an automated message saying that he does'nt answer every question now. I'll check my preferences. Thanks guys.

Bingo! Problem solved. Thanks!
Glad I could help. I had that problem on my G4 iBook with a edirol UA-1D.
