Been having issues with my dio2448 card as the input device for my Soundforge 7.0 software....all I seem to get is a solid band of NOISE....If you turn the volume way up, you can hear the music ( barely) in the back ground...
I bought this card used.....As I understand it, the 2448 card was initially made for use with the windows 98 and I am using XP.....The problem with using it with XP is that the spldf input/ouput are disabled but you can use optical ok....
All settings appear to be correct
HELP!!!!!!!!!

I've never had any luck with my 2448 using coax spdif, optical has not been a problem. I've got an R300, which has optical out, so it's never been an issue for me. I get static through the coax.

It's been a while since I used the 2448 but isn't there an option to invert the incoming signal or something like that? Another suggestion I always offer is to try using a driver for a different brand of card that uses the same c-media chip. This one worked for a while in XP but eventually flaked out, but I tend to tinker w/ my PC more than I should so maybe it was due to something I did. The nice thing about this driver is that it offers a few more options than the Dio driver (if I recall correctly).
http://www.zoltrix.com/PUBLIC2/sound/NG180_WDM.zip It's for the Zoltrix Nightengale.

The invert option is in the 2448 software....with mine, I usually have to change it from whatever it was when I powered on the input source. Ie: If it was set to invert then I powered on my R300, I would have to change it to normal (non-inverted, can't remember off hand what the non-inverted setting is called).....or it it was set to standard, power on the R300, have to change it to invert. If I don't make the change, the signal is hosed (totally non-listenable), definately no way you could not hear it.
