I used to use one.

and I bet I know what your problem might be.
If you using any windows operating system later than WIN 98 you will have problems installing the drivers that come with the sound card.

What I did was download a different driver from a completely different company and everything worked fine,  I can't remember which drive it was though, sorry.

if that is you problem search the archives here and you will find your answer, I did.

I'll try it.....I already had to reinstall the driver once....seemed to be working fine......next day it crapper out again

www.cmedia.com.tw the chipset is 8738
