If your laptop runs on 9volts, but I doubt that it does. Valence batteries, or I use these...

Look at your laptop wallwart and read what it puts out, thats what you'll need for voltage...

i'd suggest going over to batteryspace.com and checking out there universal laptop batteries, ive been
very happy with my toshiba with the batteries that they sell, and they have a couple different designs
to work with all voltage ranges of most lappies.

And believe it or not, even though the batteryspace plugs are slightly different in size so you don't reverse polarity, they're close enough to adaptaplug connectors in size that they work. A little tape around the connector so it doesn't twist, and yer off to the races! I now have the option to power my SVU-1 off a Tamiya battery connector (on one of the legs of the Y) or if I need to have the extra runtime of a 2nd RC pack for my UA-5 I can throw the SVU onto the 4000mAh universal battery pack and run the SVU for 175 or so hours. :o

It's a bit more than battery space prices, but the power it supplies is unbelievable.
