Title: Stealth MIC ideas needed!

hi !

i'm looking for a nice pair of mics i can use for stealth taping (indoor / outdoor).
i am willing to spend round about 2500,-$ on these so they can be let's say " a little more expensive " :) !
any ideas ?

i am running a sony d100 with a sonosax m2 and just need the mics :)

any help would be really great !

You're off to a good start. I have stealthed with this combo (and sometimes with a sbm) with Neumann km140s and now DPA4022s for the last 3-4 years and can provide you samples in various locations and music types, let me know.

Heh.  My favorite stealth setup:

Schoeps MK41 > KCY > Sonosax SX-M2/LS2 > M1/D100

Pick up a pair of Schoeps MK41 caps + KCY cable and get a Sax SX-M2/LS2 by either [1] sellingl the SX-M2 and buying one, or [2] paying Sax to modify your existing SX-M2.

For $2500, you have plenty of options.  Try to scrounge up some stealth recordings with Neumann SKM140, DPA, Schoeps.  Those are prolly my top three.
