I'm to seed a show I taped but when I click on the torrent it's showing no peers. I'm pretty sure I did everything right.
If someone has any input as to what might be wrong I'd appreciate it.
Here's the link http://bt.etree.org/download.php/8608/Eastern%20Sun%202004-10-14%20Fody%27s.torrent
Thanks

Looks like the torrent was accepted by Etree; and it's showing two leechers but no seed. Are you behind a firewall by any chance? Which client are you using?
-
I'm using sygate for a firewall...even when I shut it down still nothing. I'm using bit tornado for a client.
-
Did you relocate the original files after you uploaded the torrent?
-
The flacs??
-
Yes
-
Where do they need to be relocated to?
-
What I'm getting at is whether you moved the folder with the FLAC files after you made the torrent file. If you did, when the torrent file is opened, Bit Tornado would not recognize that you have the original FLAC files on your hard drive and would begin the d/l just as if you were a leecher.
If you did move the FLACs to a new directory, try opening the torrent file and when it ask for a directory to save to, navigate to the folder with the original FLACs and click OK.

I did move the files into a folder...where all my bittorrents DL too. I put the bit torrent file in with the flac folder. I do have a question....I also have a txt. file in there and Uploaded it this way...would this affect it??
-
By the way...thanks for all the help and +t and another in 12. I really want to seed some shows, but here I am on the last step and i can't get it to go through.
-
You don't want anything in the folder with the FLACs that wasn't there when you created the torrent file. If it's a file that should go with the FLACs (like a fingerprint file or info txt file) and you left it out of the folder when you created the torrent, you probably should create a new torrent file. You should not put the torrent file in the same folder as the FLACs et al that you are torrenting.
-
I believe I did have the info file there when I created the torrent and I've tried taking it out and trying it too. I'll probably have to start from scratch. So when I save the torrent file I should save it to a seperate folder, one that does'nt contain the flacs that I had just created the torrent from?
