Hmmm...this is sort of sucky...not sure what happened.
Stealthed a band in a theatre...did the whole show in one file. Nearly two hours...
But the file has the first 15 mintutes or so chopped off...I did notice that the machine was stubborn to go into record mode...
Sounds like a software bug or something...is the wav file size limit lower on the older 1.3 firmware...???

Probably didn't have the optical cable seated properly. The jb3 will not record when set to get an optical input if it is not getting the input. If the optical cable wasn't seated properly and then got shoved in correctly after 15 minutes, this would explain what happened. I doubt it was a software issue.

file size is the same, regardless or firmware version, I believe. Doesn't bring back the lost 15mins, but try reformatting and upgrade your firmware.

Todd has the right idea.
I've never heard of your symptom being caused by anything else.

Optical not used...went Stereo Mic > Line In

Like I said - it did behave strangely when I tried to put it into record mode...it took a few tries to get it going...
And one detail...it seems like the first 15 seconds really quiet...then suddenly the levels kick up...like it didn't get the "add gain" conmmand until too late...

Try cleaning up your hard drive. Sounds a lot like you have some dead spots.
