Still having periodic problems: same equipment, same set-up, but some recordings are riddled with pops and others none. I tried using Sound Forge 7.0 to eliminate the pops, but SF doesn't detect them (played around with the threshhold and sensitivity, but nothing). I'm thinking it might be the result of using crappy XLR mic cables from Radio Shack (I'm new and wanted to cut cost corners, what can I say?) and have ordered better cables from leegeddy...but if it were the cables, I would think that all the recordings would have pops. The pops aren't that loud, more like slight vinyl pops, and not all that annoying, but I was hoping to get rid of them all the same.
Any assistance, suggestions, advice would be appreciated.

Thought of another possible cause for the pops: My AD-20 might be defective (bought here, so it's not as if I can exchange it) as the 9v quickly loses juice. In my last recording, I put a new 9v in and the red light began coming on about an hour and a half in. This has happened several times with new batteries, so much that I bought rechargeables so I can replace the battery after every set (the batteries in the PS-2 stay charged). Could the battery issue be causing pops?
