Title: D100/M1 Gain Knobs
Post by: Crimson on November 10, 2004, 12:59:40 PM
has anyone tested or does anyone know about how many DBs is it between each level on the 1-10 gain knobs of D100s/m1's?

trying to figure out if I'll need a third attenuator (already running the mic-in -20, plus a -20 attenuator)
to record upcoming Manson shows with DPA 4060s so as to avoid keeping the gain under <4> since I'm told that will brickwall.

run on sentence :)

thanks.

bass roll-off...4060 sensitivity + manson-bass= some loud thuddy shit, the core-sound rolloff box only works with mic-in if its straight into the recorder.

You should modify the box so it rolls off properly on the line-in.  If you want to give it a shot, or if you want a separate line-in box, let me know.

oooOOOooo a line-in box sounds lovely...my technical expertise is limited to operating my coffeemaker everymorning...too late to use it for any manson shows too, but i might be giving you a shout after my next stretch'o'shows.  So my question still stands!
