Post by: urobouros on November 10, 2004, 06:40:07 PM: Alas, no highspeed. I was thinking of getting both the binaural set and the card set. It's a little bit less than the deluxe card option from SP (SP-CMC-20). I am hoping to get the mics by 11/20 for the Taj Mahal show. Ahhhhhhh, I can't decide!!

I had the low cost cards...they were part of my "let's see if I'm going to enjoy this whole taping thing" rig along with a used MD and no battbox. They really have no low end, but for the cost I suppose they give you a pretty fair response. Just imagine a better sounding mic, filter out all the outstanding definition (both high and low), and you have the CSLC cards.

I don't think they are too bad, especially considering they're so cheap.
