Yeah, thats one of the newer evolution series mics. I'm not sure how they would be for stereo recording. They are "super" cardiod so placement and rejection are an issue. I have a bunch of Evolution series senn's, I use them multitracking and such. I'm not saying they wouldn't work but they are certainly not Neumann/Schoeps league I'm sure. I'd like one for high hat micing. Maybe I'll pick one up. I have like a dozen evolution mics and am usually happy with the sounds I get. I need top get sponcered. I do know the Allmans used the e604's all over their kits. But they do have like 30+ channels of drums ;)

I have heard good supercard tapes, just have not been able to find any sources with these mics
they have a low output too....
but htey are really small...............

dammit i just wrote a bunch of shit and my session timed out :(
basically, try em out. they look pretty decent for our apps.

Oh sure! There benifitial in a lot of cases. Just pointing it out.
