http://www.soundman.de/englisch/colorcode_eng.htm shows how to distinguish your soundman mics
Another TS.com member had doubts if he received the correct pair. It appears my OKMIIR mics may actually be OKM II Klassik mics. The company I purchased them from back in April appears out of business now :P That company was Outward Sound.
Anyway, just a heads up for other Soundman mic owners. You may want to double check your mics with the color code chart.
I sent an email to soundman.de in the hopes they could help me.

just a follow up on my situtation.
Soundman took quick action to my needs and sent me this kind email to help me out. I've only read good comments about Soundman's customer services and this just confirms that.

TY>Hello,
TY> I ordered a pair of OKMIIR mics with A3 apater from www.outwardsound.com .
TY> My receipt is dated 4/8/04 and clearly states OKM2RA3. However, I just came
TY> across http://www.soundman.de/englisch/colorcode_eng.htm and it appears I
TY> have received the wrong model of soundmans. My pair of mics have a blue
TY> strip and it clearly states IIK on it.
TY> OutwardSound seems to be out of business. Is there anyway Soundman can help
TY> me? I would like to exchange these for the correct mics that I ordered. I
TY> can fax you my receipt that show I did pay $219.95 for the IIR model. I've
TY> been having distortion problems with my mics and loud music which is now
TY> realized it's because I have the wrong mics.
TY> Any help is really appreciated.

Hi Tim,
we will change your mic to the Rock-verion.
Pls send to: Soundman
Rosenthaler Str. 71
10119 Berlin
Germany
Please send only the mic in an envelope. All the packing material and
the A 3 is the same than the OKM Rock.
So both of us can save some shipment expenses.
Best wishes
Soundman
Rolf
