Title: can anyone recommend a good gear bag?
Post by: radioboy1977 on November 18, 2004, 07:01:04 PM
so it looks like the latest version of my rig is going to be AKG 463's > V2 > DA-P1 with the mini-me in there sometimes as well as a fostex FR2.  can anyone recommend a good bag to hold all this stuff?  i'm thinking a good size camera bag would do, but i'd like to get some ideas before i buy anything.  thanks!

I have a sonicase, and while a bit on the expensive side, it is great for the type of gear you have (with the exception of the minime), where you can stand it all up on its side and see all the controls....you can find them used for around ~$100

jef, a lil off topic, but i thought you were getiing 483's, instead of 463's ??? if youre geting the 463's, get them modded ;D

and i think the AW bag that everyone recomends will do it, i know chris clark had one and its HUGE, just cant think of the company name

You mean the Lowepro?  The Nova 5 AW is the huge one, but they come in all sizes.

thanks for the suggestions, guys.  T's all around!

i ended up going to ritz camera and picked up a nice quantaray bag for 60 bucks.  it holds everything except the mini-me easily.  if i decide to run the mini-me, then i'll probably have to use a smaller bag just for batteries.  of course, if i end up liking the FR2 enough to buy it, i may just get rid of the mini-me.

by the way, anyone need a big-ass targus rakgear bag?
