Title: help: changing recorder preference in Wavelab
Post by: kskreider on November 18, 2004, 07:16:25 PM
I am trying to author a dvd-a project by following the tutorials in the archive section and when it comes time to write it all Wavelab sees is my old Plextor CD-R burner and not my new NEC DVD-R.  Am I doing something wrong here?

HElp please.

In the wavelab folder, go to tools folder>cdr folder>drvreg.exe, assign a driver to your drive.  Make sure you have all the updates from steinberg too.

I've had the same problem before. Only sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. Have the same problem with Nero and my CD-R drive. My problem is most likely different from yours, but in case it helps, all I do is restart my computer and the drive is there. Don't know why it works, or why it sometimes doesn't pick up the other drive, but rebooting always works.

+T Scooter.

I'll try that when I get home.

Any tips on how to figure out what driver the NEC DVD-R is using?

If all esle fails, try the generic MMC
